But then theres this guy Jhye Richardson, hes only 22 and a quick bowler who might push his way into the team for The Ashes. Kind of exciting to think about.

He got his Test debut on Thursday afternoon at The Gabba, becoming player number 458. Before the second drinks break he already had figures of 3 for 18. That part stands out, shows hes got potential right away. I am not totally sure if hell stick around long term though.

Josh Hazlewoods injury created an opening in the team for the series against Sri Lanka. That let Richardson get the nod over the more experienced Peter Siddle for the starting lineup in that first Test match.
